The PTA sponsors the Mini-Maverick Reading time where preschool siblings of McGowen students are invited to the McGowen Library for a special story time just for them. he kindergarten teachers and some special McGowen friends read to the kids. Check the Calendar for specific dates and times
Bringing these "mini mvericks" to McGowen, some for the first time, is an important step for both children and parents. Many of them will be attending McGowen in the fallas kindergarteners and this program is a fantastic way to introduce them to McGowen and the kindergarten team.
The PTA would like to thank Ms. Porter, Ms. Sifferman, Ms. Barton, Ms. Hendrickson,Ms Gimber and Ms. McCartney for sharing their stories and puppets with the children. We also appreciate Ms. Vance and Ms. Stutts for hosting us in the library.
