The Legislative Action officer keeps local PTA membership aware of pending state and national legislative action and involves membership in the legislative process. This officer also keeps local PTA membership informed of happenings in community such as school board elections, bond elections and genral elections. This officer may serve on National PTA Member-toMember Network or as part of Texas PTA's Legislative Link for contact with national and/or state legislators. The legislative officer may present advocacy training and information to members.
