A school is successful with great kids, a committed and talented teaching staff, a great administrative staff, involved parents and a school connected to its community. The PTA facilitates, promotes and participates in a number of community service related projects every year to help the school stay connected to the community. All these projects are rolled into a single program called The Giving Tree.
The Giving Tree program uses a physical tree as well as a virtual tree on the website to focus on a single charity each month. There are a number of decorations on the tree each of which defines a single item from that charity's wish list. Anyone can pick a decoration off the physical tree or download a decoration from the website, fill the request and drop the item with the decoration attached in one of the boxes near the tree in the lobby of the school. Please put your child's grade on the back of the decoration so that we can keep track of participation levels by grade. At the end of the year the grade with the highest participation will be recognized. For more information about the program see our Giving Tree FAQ page.
