The Arts & Education committee supports the need for art and educationalenrichment at McGowen Elementary and will plan and implement quality programs that bringeducational enrichment experiences to our students. This committeewill find creative ways to supplement the curriculum of the school in order to offerour students unique opportunitities to develop in all areas of education.
The PTA strongly supports the principle that an education in the fine arts is essential to every student. Learning about the arts through literature, visual arts, music, dance and video is basic toteaching children how to express themselves. The McGowen PTA will offerenrichment programs in these areas as well as math, science, environmental awareness andcharacter education throughout the year - we hope you will encourage your students to participate.
